vision

The Boise Farmers Market is a community marketplace where local food and agricultural products are available year round and the community can learn about and become engaged in food system issues. The Market is a catalyst and incubator for local food-related activities in the region, and helps to build personal and community self-reliance.

Mission

The Boise Farmers Market supports a regenerative, healthy food and agricultural system by operating a vibrant marketplace featuring locally grown and crafted products.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I bring my dog to the market?

While we love dogs, they are not allowed at the market due to health and safety concerns. Please leave your pups at home: the asphalt surface heats up quickly in the summer months and we also do not want to see dogs left in hot cars.

is this market accessible?

We are a fully accessible and ADA compliant market. ADA parking can be found near the Spa Street entrance to the farmers market, look at the map here.

Eek! I forgot cash but my favorite vendor only accepts green. What do I do?

You can purchase Market Fresh Bucks at the Information Booth! These are wooden tokens that are as good as cash, and are in $5 increments. There is just a $1 fee for purchasing these wooden tokens!

What if it rains?

Boise Farmers Market is a “rain or shine” market.” Come shop with us regardless of the weather.

I’d like to support the Market, how can I do that?

To volunteer, complete the online form here, or stop by the information booth on Saturdays.

As a nonprofit organization, we encourage and accept donations to fund nutrition programming, market supplies and to help pay our staff. We also invite you to support any of our special fund-raising events.
