Tokens at the Boise Farmers Market
The Boise Farmers Market has tokens that can be used to purchase different products from the market. There are SNAP Tokens, Double Up Food Bucks Tokens, Sprout Tokens, and Market Fresh Bucks. SNAP Tokens
SNAP Tokens are for the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program. SNAP Tokens come in $1 increments and can be used to purchase SNAP Eligible products including fruits, vegetables, meats, poultry, fish, dairy products, breads, cereals, and other food items like snack foods and non-alcoholic beverages. Change will not be given for SNAP tokens, and SNAP tokens cannot be returned or exchanged for cash or other tokens. They never expire, so if you have some leftover after shopping, save them for your next visit to the Boise Farmers Market!
Double Up Food Bucks Tokens
Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) tokens are a way to extend your SNAP tokens at the Boise Farmers Market. The Boise Farmers Market will match up to $20 of a SNAP purchase with up to $20 of DUFB tokens. For example, a $10 SNAP purchase will earn you $10 of DUFB, and a $25 SNAP purchase will earn you $20 of DUFB. DUFB tokens are good for purchasing fresh fruit, fresh veggies, and food bearing plants. Change will not be given for DUFB tokens, and DUFB tokens cannot be returned or exchanged for cash or other tokens. They never expire, so if you have some leftover after shopping, save them for your next visit to the Boise Farmers Market!
Sprouts Tokens
Sprouts Tokens are awarded to participants in our Sprouts Kids Club! This program is free to all KIDS - Ages 5 – 12. When participating, kiddos will earn $2 in special Sprouts tokens each week when visiting the Market. The Sprouts tokens can be used on fresh fruits and veggies, or food producing plants. Change will not be given for DUFB tokens, and DUFB tokens cannot be returned or exchanged for cash or other tokens. They never expire, so if you have some leftover after shopping, save them for your next visit to the Boise Farmers Market!
Market Fresh Bucks
Market Fresh Bucks are as good as cash at the Boise Farmers Market! These tokens come in $5 quantities and can be picked up at the green information booth at the market. These tokens are eligible to be spent on all products available at the Boise Farmers Market, and change will be given for these tokens if more are given than the amount needed. There is not an ATM at the market, but there are market fresh bucks! They make a great gift to give to loved ones and encourage them to shop at the Boise Farmers Market.
