For anyone experiencing food insecurity:
We will have 50 grocery bags full of ingredients to prepare a Thanksgiving side dish for 6 people. Recipe, grocery bag, and all ingredients are included at no cost. Pre order in the Drive Thru through Wednesday at 11pm or pick-up on site at the Market this Saturday November 22.
If you miss out on a bag we are still offering $40 vouchers for our food insecure neighbors through November 29.
NOTE: The Market will be outside at 300 W. Fort Street (Lincoln Early Childhood Center) this Saturday November 22. We will return to the Senior Center the next week and through December 20.
SNAP/EBT PROGRAM
The Boise Farmers Market will extend the $40 SNAP vouchers through November 29! We distribute every Saturday, 9:00AM to 12:30PM. We do not run your SNAP card, the benefits are free through donations and grants! SNAP recipients can use the $40 vouchers toward SNAP eligible groceries and additional produce at the Boise Farmers Market. Fundraising is ongoing and donations can be made at: Shopper Assistance Fund Donations.
WE Love snap users! And, we have a match!
April - December every year, every open season, the Boise Farmers Market accepts SNAP/EBT. Participants may use their SNAP card at our BFM Drive-thru or BFM Walk-thru Market! You can use your SNAP benefits on fresh fruits, vegetables, bread, meat and any un-warmed prepared foods. Benefit cards are swiped and tokens are issued in specified amounts to be used as cash at the Market. Learn about our Double Up Food Bucks match below.
If you have questions on how to use your SNAP or P-EBT benefits at one of our markets, email info@theboisefarmersmarket.com and we will be happy to answer any questions!
