SNAP/EBT PROGRAM

WE Love snap users! And, we have a match!

SNAP

SNAP stands for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly called Food Stamps). This program helps Idaho families put healthy food on their table.

Participants may use their SNAP card at any of the Boise Farmers Markets (BFM Mobile Market, BFM Drive-thru or BFM Walk-thru Market! You can use your SNAP benefits on fresh fruits, vegetables, bread, meat and any un-warmed prepared foods. Benefit cards are swiped and tokens are issued in specified amounts to be used as cash at the Market.

If you have questions on how to use your SNAP or P-EBT benefits at one of our markets, email info@theboisefarmersmarket.com and we will be happy to answer any questions!

DOUBLE UP FOOD BUCKS

Stretch your food dollars! Double Up Food Bucks is a project providing incentives to encourage healthier food choices for SNAP recipients with a one-to-one match up to $20.00 per transaction. This means if you buy $20 in SNAP Tokens, you get $20 in DUFB tokens! The Double Up Food Bucks can be used for fresh fruit and vegetables plus food-bearing plants. The Double Up Food tokens are dispersed at the information booth along with the SNAP tokens.

The Double Up Food Bucks program is Sponsored by The City of Boise and the Idaho Farmers Market Association.

Each week members of the Boise Unitarian Universalist Fellowship assist with SNAP token distribution.

We appreciate the assistance of both the City of Boise, The Idaho Farmers Market Association and the members of the Boise Unitarian Universalist Fellowship!
