Boise Farmers Market Staff:

Executive Director

Amber Beierle joined the market in December 2022. She oversees all staff, development, operations, and strategic planning and visioning for the Market. Amber has a B.A. in History, Secondary Education (2004) and a Master's of Applied Historical Research (2007) from Boise State University. She worked for the Idaho State Historical Society for sixteen years, primarily at the Old Idaho Penitentiary where served as the Historic Sites Administrator for the state. Born and raised in rural Canyon County, Amber has two young sons, Malcolm and John. She resides on the Boise Bench with her partner Danielle and two bonus kids, Cruz and Thiago.

Market Manager

Olivia Wargo joined the Boise Farmers Market in March 2024, overseeing the daily operations of the Saturday walk-thru market, engaging with vendors and shoppers, and educating the general community about the importance of supporting Idaho's local farmers and ranchers. Olivia's educational experience includes a bachelors in Global Studies emphasizing in sustainability, and a masters in Public Administration focusing on nonprofit management. Throughout her career, Olivia has worked in wineries and restaurants, museum education, and refugee resettlement, demonstrating her continued passion for working directly within her community. In her free time, Olivia loves to get outside in the mountains and rivers, skate with her roller derby team, and spend time with her animal family, Charles, Aries and George.

Operations Assistant

Layla Brown began working with the Boise Farmers Market in November 2022 after being a market enthusiast since its early days. As Operations Assistant, she does a little bit of everything including bookkeeping, working the market info booth and helping plan the annual Harvest Moon Dinner. Layla worked for many years in project management and brings those skills to her role at the farmers market. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, gardening, baking, or having coffee with a friend. 

Mobile Market & Drive Thru Coordinator

Elisa Medina joined the Boise Farmers Market team in the summer of 2024 as a market assistant, before moving into the role of Mobile Market and Drive-Thru Market Coordinator. In this role, Elisa oversees the drive thru every Saturday, engages neighborhoods through the mobile market, and collaborates with community partners such as the City of Good. With past experience in Boise-area restaurants and nurseries, Elisa is passionate about food systems, with an emphasis on fresh, local food and community building. Outside of the market, Elisa enjoys hiking and spending time on the greenbelt, gardening, reading, and spending time with her cats, Little and Bonsai, and dog, Lana-Lou.
