Farhan was born in Kenya and arrived in Boise in 2007 after living in Boston with his family upon entering America. Farhan has seven children and you may see his older sons helping out at the Boise Farmers Market.

At Fiddler's Green Farm, we specialize in growing certified organic garlic and mixed vegetables with many heirloom and open pollinated varieties. The farm is located in the beautiful Dry Creek Drainage system, a tributary of the Boise River. Here, the foothills of the Boise mountains form a gentle southwest sloping terrace with an elevation around 2900 feet.

Hadija was born in Somalia, but fled to a Kenyan Refugee Camp once the violence began in her home country. Hadija brought with her great farming experience and continues to utilize her impressive skills with Global Gardens.

Hen and Hare is a locally owned and operated microfarm in South Boise. We hope our microfarm can inspire small-acreage owners to make the most of their land. It doesn’t take much to start producing even a little food for yourself, and with a little bit more you can produce food for a community. We have just two acres of pasture, garden and food forests, plus our home.

Established in 1908, our family has a legacy of growing fresh, tree-ripe fruit featuring cherries, apricots, peaches, pears, nectarines, plums, apples, tomatoes and melons. The orchard is owned and operated by the “Kelley Girls” and has been a family affair for four – now going on five – generations. We enjoy bringing the bounty of the orchard to people who love the freshness of good produce.

We start our farmers market season with kale, summer squash and cucumbers. As the season progresses, we add eggplant, peppers, tomatoes, cantaloupe and watermelons, potatoes, winter squash and pumpkins, onions and eggs. We also have beef: roast, steaks, ground beef and more. From time to time, we'll bring honey and homemade lip balm to market. We'll always have a smile.

We've just begun construction on a geothermal greenhouse, warmed by the earth's interior. In it we'll be able to grow product all year long, including citrus! In Idaho! Be sure to ask us about getting your first Idaho-grown grapefruit.

Purple Sage Farms herbs, spices, greens and vegetables are thoughtfully grown and proudly certified organic on our family farm in Middleton, Idaho. For nearly 30 years, Purple Sage Farms has specialized in growing a wide range of organic herbs, greens and vegetables. Ribier Gardens is a small farm in Meridian, Idaho specializing in unique heirloom flowers and certified organic berries, orchard fruit and nuts.

Rice Family Farms is an Idaho certified organic farm and greenhouses in Nampa ID. We are specialize in onion, warm season vegetable varieties and melon production. We grow sweet corns, pickle cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, green peppers, italian sweet peppers, some hot peppers, eggplant, potatoes, walla walla, candy and red onions, red and yellow doll watermelon, cantaloupe, cucumbers, green and yellow zucchini, and summer squash.

Smith Berry Farm grows and harvests fresh, ripe strawberries with the sweet taste you remember, without use of pesticides, from June to September. We also process a portion of the crop and sell strawberry jam and frozen strawberries. Other crops we produce on our farm and bring to market include sweet corn, potatoes, lima beans, onions, peas, dry beans, and other vegetables.

Snake River Seed Cooperative is a group of 43 farms and gardens within the Intermountain West who steward regionally adapted seeds which are then packaged and sold in packets.

We provide cut flowers: Peonies, Alium, and Foxtail Lilies to our customers. Owned and run by our terrific family!

True Roots Organics is a small acreage Certified Organic farm located in Marsing, Idaho. They bring a diverse variety of seasonal produce and CBD/hemp products: heirloom tomatoes, root crops, greens, fruits and herbs.

Meaning "Unity and Freedom," Umoja Na Uhuru is a small local farm operated by Abdi Haji.  A refugee from Somalia, Abdi has been growing organic vegetables in the Treasure Valley since 2006, first with the Somali Bantu Community Farm in Eagle, then through Global Gardens.

Abdi will be bringing lots of fresh produce to the Farmers Market, including greens, beets, carrots, and more! 

Our farm is a collaborative venture between High Noon Farm and Winnower Farm & Ferments. We grow fresh vegetables, grains, and seed crops in the heart of Boise's Dry Creek Valley, specializing in open pollinated and heirloom varieties.
